Differences Between Micro Switch And Membrane Switch

Working principles: The micro switch is a switch that can be turned on by gently pressing the switch button when in use and turned off when the hand is released.

The metal shrapnel springing realizes the internal structure after being stressed. A membrane switch is a crucial switch with its circuit. Usually, the uppermost layer is a panel with text or patterns composed of PET or PC. The lower layer is a conductive circuit. The middle layer is a double-sided adhesive made of PET material that simulates the form of a switch and acts as isolation. The parts are usually the contacts and connecting lines on the PET material. When pressing the button part of the surface layer with your finger, the contact point of the button and the corresponding part of the contact of the lower layer part form a current connection.

Application characteristics:  The micro switch is small and a standard part. The size and related parameters must be combined with industry standards. The membrane switch can be customized according to customer requirements, different sizes, appearance, colour, etc., and is more convenient and flexible. The closed and waterproof structures of the membrane switch have better adaptability to the environment.

The micro switch cannot produce functions independently. It must be used with the PCB circuit board to form a complete opening and closing control system. The membrane switch integrates the panel, switch, and conductive circuit to independently form a complete control system.
